About John

John Lagomaggiore is an accomplished photographer whose involvement in photography has spanned over forty years. He was born and raised in Western New York where his passion for photography started. John has won numerous awards for his photography including numerous first place honors. His work has been featured in many Western NY art galleries, including group and solo shows. John has also attended separate workshops with National Geographic photographers David Alan Harvey, Steve McCurry and Annie Griffiths. He has covered a wide range of subjects, from weddings to street photography.  

John’s photography has appeared in a variety of national and international publications including The Buffalo News, Popular Photography, American Photographer, Photo Life, Outdoor and Nature Photography, Photographers Forum & Nikon World. He was a photographer for two stock photo agencies, The Stock Solution and Universal Images Group. John was also a regional wedding photographer for David’s Bridal. John recently completed a book project for the Health Association of Niagara County which featured the lives of seniors over the age of ninety. 

John is known for his ability to capture the essence of a moment in time. As diverse as the joy on a brides face as she walks down the aisle or fisherman in Tobago. His photographs tell a story, conveying the emotions and experiences of the people and places he has captured through his lens. 

Today, John continues to work as a photographer focusing on weddings and documentary photography. He strives to capture the beauty of our world and the people who inhabit it. He is passionate about photography and is committed to using his talents to making a positive impact on the world around him.
